The Lords Goodness in Japan
Its been another great week here in Japan. The Lord has been continuing to move in the lives of the Japanese students. Another student came to know the Lord this past week. More students are becoming interested in knowing the person of Jesus Christ. Its been a blessing to share Gods word on the three campus we have been on. Today will be our last day on campus and we will be having our big outreach event. We are expecting many students who don't know the Lord to come and hear about how God can change their lives. On Friday, we will be going to the Tokohu area in Japan. This is going to be a long eight hour drive but worth every hour to serve.
We are eager and ready to help the victims of the tsunami this weekend. We are bless to be going on this trip and being the hands and feet of Jesus. I know the Lord has a lot in store for us this weekend because he has been preparing us throughout this summer project. Once we are back from our trip. On Monday, we will be serving at Mitaka Student Center. We are volunteer to help elementary students with their English in a workshop put together by a Christian professor. These students don't know the Lord but they will meet Christian who care about them and show them love by helping them learn English. This opportunity was unexpected but the Lord open the doors.
We will be packing and ready to leave on Tuesday back HOME!! Once we arrive to LAX we will be heading out to Vanguard University to debrief our trip for a couple of days. This project will be over on August 2nd. I can't believe the time has finally come. I look forward to let you all know how the trip to Tohoku went and everything God is doing in Japan!!

Shaking Japan with His Truth
We just finished another week of doing ministry in Tokyo. The Lord has certainly worked in amazing ways among our team. Our team has been able to share the gospel with many Japanese college students over the past couple of weeks. Our team has been placed on three different campuses: Hitosubashi, Gakuge, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Conversations with students where tough initially however the Lord was reminding us that we were going to relay on his Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of the Japanese people. After the first few days the Lord leads us to many students who were interested to hear about the gospel. At the end of this week we had one Japanese girl come to know the Lord. Praise God for a faithfulness for allowing us to spread his word to the people want to hear and seeing this new sister come to get to know Jesus Christ.
We have been given the opportunity to serve at a homeless ministry in a park in Hirajuku, Tokyo during the past two Saturdays. There are over 100 homeless people who come out to this ministry. In the service we pray, worship, give a testimony, message, small group time, and give food to the people. The couple of times we have done it has been a rewarding experience to serve the people. I had the privilege of sharing my testimony with a group of Japanese Homeless Men. My testimony was able to be translated during that time.
At the end of the month we plan on going to help with the Relief work up North in an area called Tohuku. The area is still quite a disaster and need a lot support. A church called New Hope Church are sending missionaries every weekend to help the city. Our team is looking forward to be the hands and feet of Jesus to this city. Today we recently had an earthquake in Tokyo. The epicenter was northeast of the coast of Japan. There has been a Tsunami warning in this area. Keep this area in Japan in Prayer. For more information about the Earthquake:

Prayer Request:
Pray for the Japanese people to be safe from the Tsunami.
Pray for all the students we have spoken with. That they will come to know the true and living God.
Pray for our team. The Lord will give us the boldness to speak his word. Ephesians 6:19.
Pray for Richard Saenz & Laura Chalmers continue to be lead by the Spirit.
Pray against any hindrances or challenges the enemy tries to put infront of us.

Arrive in Tokyo, Japan! ^_^
Konichiwa!
On June, we received a team of 11 students on June 22nd. Many of them are from different parts of the United States. We finished our mission briefing in Vanguard University this past weekend. It was a long great week bonding with the team and learning about evangelism in the Japanese culture. We have arrived in Japan Sunday, June 26th. We traveled for a whole day getting to our apartments. Our apartments is located in Shin-Nakano, Tokyo. Our first day of briefing in Japan was Monday. We got connected with the Japanese Staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. They informed us on what to expect for the rest of our time in Japan. We are all excited about the trip and eager to share the love of christ with many Japanese.
Today is our second day in Japan. We plan on going to a Japanese campus to explore and pray. Tomorrow we plan on starting our first day going on each college campus and praying for the all the students and faculty.
I look forward to share with you stories on how God has been moving in Japan through our team. Thank you for reading and praying for our team.
Prayer Request:
Pray for our team to be filled with the Holy Spirit as we prepare to witness to Japanese students.
Pray for strength and courage for each missionary.
Pray for our team unity. Others may see the love we have each other in Christ.
Pray for Richard Saenz & Laura Chalmers to be lead by the Spirit to lead the team.

Welcome to My Summer Mission's Blog
I would like to thank you for visiting my blog. As some of you have heard this summer I plan on going to Japan to share the gospel. My project is from June 22nd thru August 5th. This trip is extra special to me because I know that I will be able to connect with family members who were affected by the tsunami and earthquake earlier this year. I plan on updating this blog weekly while I am on mission to share with you what the Lord is doing within our group.
I am currently looking for people to partner with me this summer. Here are ways you can help:
Pray. While I am in Japan I will update this blog for weekly prayer request. This summer I will need prayer warriors to help me with the Lords ministry in Japan. I will need your prayer covering. Pray for...
1) The Japanese people needs will be met and have a spiritual revival in Christ.
2) The Lord will prepare the hearts and mind for all the participants going to Japan.
3) I will raise $5,200 to go on missions this summer. God will super naturally provide.
Give. I have to raise $5,200 within the next few months. Will you consider partnering with me with a gift of $20, $50, $100, or any other amount? With your support you can help me share God's word to hearts and minds of the Japanese people.
Follow. Come visit this blog during the summer from 06-22-11 to 08-05-11. Follow the blog to see what amazing things the Lord is doing in Japan through your support.
